Greetings and Salutations beautiful people.
Life has been on fast forward since the beginning of September when I hit the ground running. I was supposed to start an Archaeology Degree at the beginning of October this year, but during Summer, they changed the dates and before I knew it I was up to my eyeballs in books, assignments and research.
This year has been incredible for me, so far, in terms of movement and change. It was an absolutely incredible experience to meet friends I have known only on Social Media, in Person at the conference in Preston in September, which was the same week I started my studies in Ernest. Catching up with old friends too that I haven’t seen in over ten years. I came away from that weekend inspired and filled with hope and enthusiasm for our future.
This last year has been a deeply moving and transformational one for me. I was born in the Chinese year of the Tiger and my goodness has it roared from within! Alongside beginning Archaeology studies I have dived head first into research on a monumental scale of the old Gods, Goddesses and ritual, from an academic standpoint, with a view to assimilating and incorporating these into my magical practices in the future.
Lately I have been reading a book on to my YouTube channel, by Catherine Nixey, about the destruction of the classical world by Christianity, and to say it has evoked something within me would be an understatement.
The full Moon and the Eclipse that has just passed, did so with a torrent of turbulent emotions, requiring deep healing and working with my spirits and ancestors to clear the way of obstacles and debris from past life memories which surfaced during the transit.
As I see it, where we are headed right now, collectively, as a species, is not exactly in a positive direction. Every day I wake up feeling immense love and gratitude to be part of our tribe. But there is so much division, and discord amongst many folks. People are still being led like cattle into a state of panic and fear, even though we are out of the other side of the “pandemic”, the mainstream Media continues unabated with its constant barrage of negativity and doom.
Were it not for the foundation of the Initiate’s Way, which has kept my inner light burning throughout the madness, it might have been a very different road. I am eternally grateful to my guides and ancestors for keeping me afloat through the last couple of years. Especially for shining a light on the behaviour of certain people. But mostly for illuminating the way towards the amazing circle of people who are in my life now, who inspire me to create and make magic happen, every day.
If you need a little lift during the dark nights that are closing in, the Folk Tales by the Fireside have resumed. Pull up a comfy seat, grab a hot chocolate and enjoy some storytime.
I hope this finds you happy and healthy and sane. If things are rough right now, know that this too shall pass. If history has taught us anything, it is that our humanity will never be defeated. The Ancestors, the old gods and goddesses are stirring, arising and responding to our call.
