Women of Wisdom: A Celebration of the Immaterial!

Workshop, with Jade Melany at Magical Egypt’s “Women of Wisdom Conference, CHANGE OF DATE… more details coming soon.

Jade will give an introduction on how the Initiate’s Way came to be. What it is. And how it can be used for healing and spiritual development.

Jade created the pathworkings first, and then went through the awakening journey with a small magical group. The Arcana of the Initiates Way were painted after these magical spaces were brought to life, as healing spaces that can be visited for spiritual development and connecting with your true nature!

Pathworking the Moon in the Initiate’s Way

The Moon

The Moon Tarot image by Jade M

“On some of the traditional images for the Moon, you find a crayfish half in and half out of the water in a somewhat barren landscape. Stranded halfway between two towers or the pillars of Jachin and Boaz. On the Initiate’s Way Moon there is a figure of a priestess standing in salutation, greeting the face of the goddess that you meet at the time of the full moon.

Will you or won’t you descend into the depths of the unconscious and travel through the gateway into the unknown? It is a path which is lonely because it must be undertaken alone but it also heralds a time of cleansing and a release of trapped emotions and blockages, that may have up until now held you back in your quest to know yourself better.

This presents a chance for you to calm extreme emotions, though caution may be required if you are of a sensitive nature. This is a time for sleep and rest requiring a period of withdrawal and introspection.”

The Moon Pathworking in the Initiate’s Way

“At the time of the full moon there are instincts and urges that are primal in nature which surface and require attention, so that they don’t cause disturbances to the health and psychic wellbeing. The stereotypical image of the werewolf howling at the moon portrays one of these outcomes, when the tide of the unconscious has taken a hold over the rational nature and the animal instincts are allowed rule. Where do we begin seeking wisdom if not through the path of the moon?

Seeing through the illusions requires great courage and strength. Paying particular attention to dreams and if there is a need to sleep and rest, then do so for your healing requires space to breathe, feel and just ‘be’.”

Justice Pathworking from the Initiate’s Way

Justice Tarot Major Arcana by Jade M
Justice – Initiates Way Tarot Major

We have now reached the Justice Pathworking in this series of the Initiate’s Way workshops online.

“This is a transitional phase where you are neither within or without and you have the choice whether or not, to willingly submit yourself fully to the process of karmic cleansing which began in the last image of the Wheel of Fortune.

The idea of the soul going into a hall of judgement is presented here, whereby your actions, deeds and intentions can be weighed against the heart. This is not necessarily the judgement that one might expect at death when you review the whole of your life, but a cyclical review, which relates directly to the time of year associated with this image, that of October and the beginning of autumn in the northern hemisphere.

Samhain – Summers end

Let us briefly consider the concept of the Pagan new year at Samhain, as it is the “summers end” and time for the seasons to change.

Symbolic and seasonal death is upon us as the leaves fall from the trees and you begin the descent into the darkness of winter.

Your internal link with nature means that at this time of year, as the nights are closing in, subconsciously the waning sunshine hints to your waking self that the time is ripe for heading into retreat and repose. You should be allowing yourself the space to take stock of where you are. Getting rid of the physical things you don’t need anymore by giving them away to those who do. This is the time for ridding yourself of any beliefs that don’t fit because you have grown. Setting out goals for the next year ahead and most importantly, taking the time out to remember your ancestors and the life that they gave you.”

This is an excerpt from the Initiate’s Way book which is available from Mandrake of Oxford.
